Yeah, that barrel was definitely obstructed. What was actually in it should be no mystery to the people in the blind.
Based off the point where it blew I would suggest the wad.
Unless the gun had been dropped and left in the mud side ways and left for a while or some one decided to use the gun as a push pole.
