If it ain\'t accurate at long distance, then the fact that it is flat shooting is meaningless.
I love my elite. But I'd vote that Halon 32. That thing is a bad dude!!
Not sure about that. Got an Outback in 2006. It is quiet enough and good as a rifle at 20 yards.
I have shot nearly all of them and the switchback is the most forgiving and accurate.
I'd say the outback or the switchback. I have an outback.
Supposedly the newest one they have out is pretty good, you know how that goes. Mine does what I need it to do.
I have had the Mathews HTX the Halon and now the Halon 32.
You cannot go wrong with any of these but the Halon 32 is by far the best of the three.
70 lbs and 28 1/2 inch draw. Very quiet and accurate with a Spot Hogg w/no peep. Go shoot them first. My buddy has the HTX and went to go upgrade but stayed with the HTX as it was better fit for him.
The longer the brace height the more forgiving it will be. Low poundage and heavy arrows help with noise.

The Switchback and the Z7 were great bows. I haven't shot a Halon but you won't find many people bashing them.

Switchback. The halon32 is great but it isnt the switchback.
I haven't shot a Halon, but I don't think I've heard a single bad thing about them so far. Kinda makes me want one. With that said, if you want a good Mathews that you can now find cheap I would get on AT and Ebay and try to find a good used z7.
I would be right there with you if I were right handed.
Halon 6 hands down
Seeing these soulless vanilla ice lookin Yankees on a bassboat is worse than watching a woman get her implants taken out. It's just wrong. Get back in your Lund and go back to infisherman.
Still shooting my z7 however the Halon 32 is pretty sweet. Not sweet enough to upgrade yet. Supposedly the 18' model will bE an all carbon version of the Halon
I was an Elite fanboy until I shot a Halon 6. I've got a Halon and a Z7 Extreme. Both great bows, if you're on a budget, and aren't picky about your accessories you can find a Z7 or a Switchback for less than $500 ready to shoot. If you wanna spend a little more look on AT for a used Halon. They can be had for $2-300 less than retail. Mathews is also getting ready to release their 2018 lineup so that price will probably come down more when they do that
The smoothest part of a Matthews is the marketing
Them that don't know him won't like him, and them that do sometimes won't know how to take him
He ain't wrong, he's just different, and his pride won't let him do things to make you think he's right
They don't put Championship rings on smooth hands
