When in doubt, shoot him again!
Work like it's all up to me, but pray, like it's all up to him!
Don't skimp on Chinese food, hookers or turkey taxidermy
Them that don't know him won't like him, and them that do sometimes won't know how to take him
He ain't wrong, he's just different, and his pride won't let him do things to make you think he's right

send mine to Blackwing in Florida, its pretty easy and not much more.
Just send it to Cally.....You'll be glad you did!

I don't know who is the best but below is some of my recent work. There are actually a few taxidermists who do only turkeys. But none in SC that I know of. Not sure that makes them any better anyway.
Whoever you use - spring for the nicest head you can afford and make sure they know how to work the back feathers. Those who said don't cheap on turkey work are correct. I would also add that if you go with a standing bird putting money in your habitat can't but understated. Lot of folks cheap on the base where just $100 more would have made the mount a real showpiece.
Don't know why these pictures are rotated...

Pernells Taxidermy in Summerville has done a great job with all my stuff.
USCG Cutterman
Keith Crout in West Columbia near Lowe's has done a number of turkeys for me and I am very satisfied. I have a lot of mounted animals in my home and my business and am very particular and he has done flying, strutting, hanging dead, gobbling on a limb and more for me and they are beautiful. I have 3 mounted in my shop in West Columbia if anyone wants to see his work.
I only hunt on days that end in "y"!

Without a doubt the best is Shane.
You'll pay for it though with money.
I take mine to KRT
Matt Taylor. He sends all of his heads to Cally
I don't like this.

Those turkeys look like they need to could fit right in at the duck run after a neck tat or two

I looked around at a bunch of SC turkey taxidermist and I found out I could send mine to TN and have it done by an expert for the same amount or less than what I could by keeping it in state. So my tip is don't limit yourself to SC, look around and you may be surprised in quaility and cost.
