If love could have saved you, you would have lived forever.
Missing you my great friend.
Never seen them ready this early. Those looks like they are dropping already.
I think wild plum.

not sour at all
Ugh. Stupid people piss me off.
Those pictures were taken on Saturday. I have never seen a persimmon tree or fruit in person so I didn't really know what I was looking at. There were 3-4 trees in the area with fruit and maybe one other that hadn't produced yet. They ones that were producing were already dropping some.
I get the feeling that this is earlier than usual? What is the typical time frame?

They are right on time for my part of the state.
Definetly Persimmon
Mine shed a few early fruits and then the bulk will start toward the end of August
The 3 you saw with fruit were females and the one without fruit was the male. Persimmon trees have o have a male and female fairly close to one another.

Persimmon. They will be orange when ripe. Go ahead and put your bow set up close by. The deer will be there

It's weird because where these trees are growing is really swampy. Usually there is about 6"+ of water standing where those trees are. I just drained it back some this year to plant for ducks. Do persimmon typically like low areas like that?

Mine wont be that far along, at all. Just showing fruit. Ripe and dropping mid september-early october.

Best to eat them green before they ripen and the deer eat get them all.
