it was just a question...i shoot a matthews and i have for about 8 yrs or so. i like them, like their advertising. ive also shot a PSE, and the one i shot, i never had a complaint about. just wanted to know how long romeo has been playin the game.
i will say this about matthews though, i dont think that they hold a candle to Ross. shoot one of those and tell me what you think about anything else

yes, i just got my own set-up a few months ago. i hunted all season long with my buddies switchback XT. Although i haven't been shooting for years, i have been shooting long enough to shoot each of the competitor's top product and i ultimately chose to go with the mathews.
The first compound i ever shot was a PSE and that was about 6 years ago. My dad hunted with a PSE. Its not like i came up and was "raised" around the mathews groupies
i was very unbiased upon buying my own bow...i approached the situation with an open mind and was open to try as many different makers as i possibl could bc i wanted the bow that best suited what i was looking for in a compound bow. I aint tryin to ba a cocky bastard but money wasnt the issue at the time i was looking to buy my own bc i had a nice FAT refund check from The Citadel for a couple grand.... so i was def not limited as to what i could or could not afford. i must have shot between 7-10 different bows over the course of a few weeks .
PB:
mathews marketing approach is almost as "aggressive" as NASCAR's. It seems like every time i turn around, i'm seeing mathews ths, mathews that....i wonder what mathew's market share is? I be willing to bet they have well over a 95% customer awareness.

For the Record-
Like many folks here i started with a PSE- I now shoot a Parker (i dream of a Diamond Marquis or Black Ice) and truly prefer a trad bow for simplicity and fun but my accuracy is not what i want with one.
Like many weapons out there used to kill critters a PSE will definitely get the job done- just like grandaddy's old single shot .22, Uncle Jack's single shot 20ga, or your WalMart 30-30. Many pieces of equipment in this world are far more capable of killing an animal than the fellow that wields them.
Having said that- i like my Ruger 10/22 better than grandaddy's single shot, my 870 better than Uncle Jack's single shot 20, and my M700 better than most 30-30's.
As the single most vocal opponent to the "Small Johnson PSE Advertisement and Self Greatness Campaign" I will readily saythere is not a damned thing wrong with a PSE bow. I just don't the concept of narrowminded One Bow Only that always gets pitched... I don't dislike PSE.
As for Mathews- In my humble opinion- they are EXTREMELY OVER-RATED but hey, people believe what they read in ads so props to Mat McPherson for his technique in sales.

mathews is the only fortune 500 bow company..they has to say something.a new mathews has 8 bolts before you set it up..2 in each string supresson, 2 roller gaurd, and 2 limb bolts..nothing to back out or make noise.a PSE has hundreds of bolts, and the dreaded module system that backs out every 5 shots...no one compares to mathews workmanship they put in a bow.
