    Default TrackingPoint M600SR

An anonymous individual donated one of these to our department, and I got to shoot it today. An odd experience to say the least. Didn't get a chance to shoot it at extended range to see what it's capable of. A lot of science going on.

How is a 70 gr. bullet worth a crap at 600 yards? Looks like an amazing system- but they built it beyond the round.

Pretty cool. I hope that technology stays in combat. I don't care for equality in wingshooting.

I think the system would be more fun on a 338.... I've seen videos of that in action. It was an interesting experience. I asked the rep what the front-sight-looking device was. It monitors changes in barrel movement (flexing, warping). The only thing you have to manually enter that I saw was wind dope.

I thought it was neat, but I'll stick to my NightForce.

It's for practicing on coyotes and non-gobbling turkeys.

Come up to the Clinton House Saturday and watch some 77 grain bullets impact steel at 1K.

Why does a local PD need this type of equipment?

Frankly, I'm not sure - it was donated by a citizen.
