nope. We were just schooled on the intricacies of the political system in place at our state's capital. Apparently, some people dont even know what bills are being discussed and they just vote with the people that have (R)s behind their names.
Ugh. Stupid people piss me off.
All I see is a politician that is following the crowd. If you didn't know about it then why not abstain from voting?
If Hill sincerely wanted this bill to pass he should of let us know what the bill did and rallied the troops. We may have mapped out a plan. We very rarely let bills skip the committee process. One this contentious needed a plan. Throwing a hand grenade into the barracks is not a way to craft one.
He is merely grandstanding.
Either write things worth reading, or do things worth writing.
No bill was discussed. He moved to skip the committee and bring a bill to the floor in a five second explanation. Skipping the committee means YOU the public gets no input.
Either write things worth reading, or do things worth writing.
We were at the end of the day on a Thursday getting ready to walk out when this occurred. Mike Pitts is ex Army, retired cop, ex president of National Sportsmens Caucus, hardcore hunter, and very close friend. I knew nothing of what Hill was proposing so I followed a trusted friend who has earned my trust.
Hill could not wash is shorts.
Either write things worth reading, or do things worth writing.
Unless is shorts are kinda like bedazzled jeans.

When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home. -Tecumseh-
You will not find many in LE in favor of constitutional carry. From their standpoint I understand. Just like the EMS worker that wants seat belt laws and helmet laws.
Hill was grandstanding because the Constitutional Carry bill last session was tabled. There was no hearing and citizens can't be heard when a chairman will not hold place the bill on the agenda. This was going to happen again and Rep Hill forced a vote.
Of course legislators in SC that opposed constitutional carry and claimed to be pro-2nd amendment didn't know what they were voting for. Like always.
Rep Hill has placed them in a difficult position. Notice how quick the Facebook stalk and posting pics with family occurred. They are furious with Rep. Hill. He certainly doesn't look like the average sportsmen but a majority of pro 2 amendment are not hunters. They just believe in liberty. Sc legislators want to protect us from ourselves. That is why we rank 35th in restrictive gun laws.

Taking cheap shots at legislators that post public does not help. This is a serious matter to many. I don't care what legislators wear I just don't think I or any SC citizen should have to go the local sheriff's office and be fingerprinted to carry unless I have broken a law.
The guy stepped out of "protocol" & got slapped down by the squad. Can't have a goober stepping outta line. Geez.
So basically he didn't go to the "in crowd" & get permission so therefore we voted no. Most of the "gun nuts" I know have never been hunting in their life.
At least I can see why some of them didn't vote maybe due to not having time to digest but I be damned if I would have voted on it not even reading it. And more so just because someone else voted a certain way.
I have a pro gun bill that will be heard in committee this week. It has a chance of passing.
Either write things worth reading, or do things worth writing.
And now we see why Washington is so corrupt as well. Young reps trying to make a change "step out of line" and are immediately chastised on social media by their fellow reps. Wasn't it the democrats in Washington who pulled the same "I don't know what's in this bill but I'm going to follow suit" in order to get Obamacare passed. Congrats Mr. Lowe for proving to everyone here why politicians can't be trusted. It doesn't matter what your constituents are telling you, you're going to follow behind your trusted leaders in the General Assembly.
