Im gonna help ya out buddy. Don't go hunting in the harbor unless you have deep pockets or lots of face paint.. Now for just watching you will see plenty of Buffles, Usually some divers, some mallets roost at Crab bank and you will find the occasional RH and Can coming off the Patriots ponds.

Head strait out of Shem creek past crab bank and there will be an island in front of you with a rock duck blind on it. If the flag is flying then it is vacant. Get in and take it down so people know to give you space. Put your decoys out on the south side and enjoy the action
Seeing these soulless vanilla ice lookin Yankees on a bassboat is worse than watching a woman get her implants taken out. It's just wrong. Get back in your Lund and go back to infisherman.

Head through town creek from the harbor past the coal Shute. Bang a left up shipyard creek. Plenty of mallards in there. Just be prepared to be fired upon.

^I know of some people who got to pay some sweet fines for that.

Like mentioned above, there are lots of birds in the harbor, especially into the early spring, but hunting there is no bueno. Good way to get shot at, locked up, or die.

As for what birds will be there around New Years, I'd guess that the birds present in Charleston will be just like everyone else............drunk.
