Just curious, is your clubhouse a tree fort?

And what the hell is up with rule #9? If I can't have a beer at camp, then that's bull

Surprised that the president isn't asking for your trail cam pics too.

I can see it now....member calling club president....."I was in the power line stand this evening and saw the biggest deer of my life but before I could get the gun up he had already crossed into the woods."
Me calling club president....hey man, I hunted the powerline stand this evening. That stand sucks! I didnt see a damn thing. The neighbors must be baiting heavy next door or the coyotes are out of control around there. I didn't see but 2 sets of tracks walking in. Oh, and by the way, the seat is jacked up. It hurts your back after about 20 minutes.

my guess is that the club president has no clue how to kill a deer.
Ugh. Stupid people piss me off.
sounds like everybody is agreement with #4 & #5.
Honestly, I don't know why #9 is in there because none of us drink, must be due to insurance purposes.
as far as workday are concerned- we all have busy schedules but so far we have all been down there to work together, and at separate times. for example, my dad is also in the club and some of the private land he owns back up to the leased property. so we are already down there multiple times a week doing stuff. the president owns lands that backs up to the other side and he lives about 1/4 mile up the road. I myself am only ten minutes away. Nothing was said about mandatory work days probably because we have all been able to make it work
As said before if you have 3 other members and need this much of a rule structure in place you are probably hunting with the wrong people.
Scrap the texting crap and put up a pin board.
If the president it wanting to keep up with deer numbers then have the members keep a log book and have them turn it in at the end of the season. But there's no need to include stand site with it.
Warning: The Surgeon General has determined that turkey hunting is an addictive activity that will disrupt normal sleep patterns!
Ask your president if'n I can duck hunt it.
If the president owns the lease, then the golden rule applies ... Whoever has the Gold Rules
i have a club on 400 acres with four people and we have one rule:
If you piss me off, I kick you out and you dont get your money back.
It really has worked well for a number of years and the turnover is surprisingly low.
If you hunt with like-minded people, you dont need rules. Sounds like, to me, if you and your dad and half of the club and the pres is a neighboring landowner, there shouldnt be any rules.
Ugh. Stupid people piss me off.
Are these the Florida guys rules?
I would rather hunt public than deal with that crap.
president does not own the club, we lease from the timber company.
2th, we had agreed when we decided to lease to come up with some rules.
I will say that I was a little surprised at the list of rules but I am not too worried about it. I sent him an email regarding my concerns a few minutes ago and am confident we can work it out.
I offered to build a sign-up board and put it up myself.
I also suggested everyone just keep an individual log of what was seen and we compile them at the end of the year
I "run" a club with 4 members. Sign in/out to make sure everyone knows where you are or should be. Thats it. If one of us was on the property without drinking, I'd be worried about them
Them that don't know him won't like him, and them that do sometimes won't know how to take him
He ain't wrong, he's just different, and his pride won't let him do things to make you think he's right
They don't put Championship rings on smooth hands
I've been in several clubs and this is first time I've ever heard that rule that the president be privy to all you activity, strikes me as weird. The club I'm in now has 25+ members, we have rules, but no where this strict and we all get along very well.
