Got asked to go on a bowfishin trip earlier this afternoon.
When i got to Eutawville to meet up they had 3 flyrods in the boat and told me to get ready for some fun if we couldnt find any big cats.
after about an hour of seeing cove after cove filled with big shellcracker i realized what the rods were for.
Sinking black spiders were the sauce and it was flat on for an hour.
casting at night may seem like a lost cause but that theory was disproven tonight.
The big ones would rush out of the grass and aggressive snatch the spiders.
Reminded me alot of spadefish.
ended the night with 3 carp 1 shad and 11 slab crackers.
Will be doing that more often.
Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.
