    I went striper fishing at Lake Murray Friday and have never seen so many dead fish floating on top of the water. I know there is not much you can do to prevent this, but its no wonder we have seen a declining fish population. My guess is there were more than 30 dead fish and I was only about 500 yards from the dam

    well that is one reason you can keep some undersize fish this tme of year. one way to help it is use circle hooks, they dont get gut hooked as much and not to fish to deep, and their bladders wont fill with to much air when bringing them up . and not to handle them so much when releasing
