    That boat would have had no steerage if that damage wasn't the result of washing up on shore.

    Yep. That was most likely caused by bouncing up and down on the beach in the waves. Running impact would have driven them more back than up.

    Majority of the Oregon Inlet charter/tourney fleet run singles. Don't have to run far offshore and cuts way down on expense. The past time I fished Big Rock, there was a 65 footer with a single that parked on the sea wall at the Beaufort Waterfront docks. That Captain would come in hot jack the wheel and throttle all while working the bow thruster. He even had a suicide knob on the wheel. Was a sight to see and everyone lined the docks when he came in to watch.

    Couple years ago I sea trialed a 48 Sundancer with Zeus drives. That was pretty cool.
    No bow thruster needed.
