"them bundes be fat"
Lame joke.
but really, i would build five fires from each of the pieces of the bundle. I splinter them into from each "chunk".
Love the smell of fat lighter. But it is unsettling when you smell it after you drill in the wall.
I'm a hoarder. The three logs on the right are from one tree. It was probably 30 feet long and weighed nearly a million pounds, I think. Long leaf heartwood.
That woods gonna jump when you split it. Looks like fun.
Plenty to go around brother.

"The Czar of fat lighter".... Nice. Jealous.
Duckcutter - that load of fat in your truck is epic.
I am part of fat lighter's anonymous as well. Kicked many stump on a hardwood ridge. Talking about lighter wood reminds me of my younger year's and cutting wood with dad and his friends. About 25 years back when camping with dad and crew up in Broadwater north of Indigo we found a lighter log such as Cali's find. Dad's buddy cut it up and hauled most of it out in his johnny that Sunday. He took it to his shop and cut it up with a band saw into little pieces. I was taught early that fat lighter was something to revere and worth spending much time in pursuing.
I am down to my last splinter of it and this thread got me so fired up that I walked a piece behind my house and found an old pine laid down that looked like disease killed it which usually means a good lighter wood stump. Stump was smelly as hell and a good find then I felt something on my ankles and damn a gazillion fire ants all around the base. I will return with some fire ant powder and dust it and then give it a few days before returning with an axe.
Word. Extra points for the lichens. They make em extra fat.
