I'm curious if anyone's views on preparedness have changed over the last week or so. Some people here thought is was tin foil hat craziness to have food and water stores, to have a go-bag packed and ready, to have a place in mind to evac to, etc.
This time we have emergency services, people to deliver bottled water and food. What would happen if the crisis was big enough where emergency services were crippled and there was no one unaffected able to offer help to others?
I will say that it has given me a new perspective, though. I have been filling my head with too much negativity, expecting the worst out of people in times of crisis. Totally the opposite here. It is really when you see the best in people. The way people have come together to help is inspiring.
