Here is the delima i have used stocking foot waders since as long as i can remember, but in texas i could use the soft neopreme booties. I have the same waders but the booties will not do the job for me. Dose any one have any sudgestions on what type if boots i should buy?

I had a friend that tried to go that route with stocking foot waders and it didn't work. The problem is that in pluff mud the boots get sucked off your feet regardless of what boot is used. Buy a pair regular waders.

Yeah bootfoot is the way to go. We got some nasty stuff. Mud, stumps, sticks..... find ya a good pair of hodgman waders. I've used many but they are the best yet in my book. Pricey but good.

I know a guy that wears size 17's so he has always gone with stockingfoot waders. He just wears an old pair of lace up boots over them and seems to do fine.
