    Default Help Wanted

Heading up to Murray in two weeks to fish with my uncle for a couple days. We don't get to do this often, and I striper fish 99% of the time in Marion. Been up to Murray once...we found/marked bait and fish and dropped herring and caught some fish.

Anyways, I know a lot can change in the next couple weeks, but I'm looking for a little help and guidance. Are the fish moving back to deep water where the above method will be preferred? Trolling going to be more effective still? Planar boards?(I really have no experience with them). Jigging spoons and artificials along with live bait fishing if they are down...

    Appreciate any tips in advance!
    Good fishing.

You can probably still catch some on point fishing with cutbait early morning around crystal lake or maybe downrod fishing with live bait a few cranks off the bottom on points 50 ft deep or so. Whatever you do have a couple free line rods with live bait.

    Mcduck,
I've never used planer boards, but how much higher can the water temp get before boards aren't productive. I figured it was too warm now for boards

I have friends that pull boards year round. All boards to is seperate the lines. You can adjust the depth with them add weights. You can also use them to pull deep diving baits and u rigs. Fish are still pretty shallow right now . Esp early in the mornings

You can catch em just about anywhere right now on the lower part of the lake.
