I have had carpet in the toolbox of just about every truck I have owned, and have never had a problem. The carpet enables you to utilize the toolbox as storage without having that dust crap all over everything and it looks better too. As stated above, contact cement and some of that outdoor black carpet from Wal-Mart or Lowes will suffice just fine. If it gets dirty, vacuum it.

After reading this I decided to do something to mine. I planned on carpeting, but when I went to get the spray adhesive I saw this. It's Rustoleum truck bed liner. I was/still am a little skeptical, but so far it looks good and has a no slip texture to it. I don't know how it will hold up, but I figure if it doesn't then I can carpet later. $8.99 for the can.
If you give 10 people a bag of gold, someone will complain about how heavy it is!

Ok so i desided instead of carpet Im gonna go with either the rustoleum rubberizer or truckbed coating. One last question for yall. How do i need to prep the metal after i clean out all my shit? Do i need to prime it with paint or some other solution to prevent peeling and chipping?

    Thanks for the help.

I got some black diamond rubber and put it in mine. Best stuff I've found by far.

If you don't have time to do it yourself......take it to Hudson's and talk to Troy, he'll take care of it. They can spray the whole box for around $150 or less I would think

How well did this hold up? I need to carpet or spray my truck box.
