I wasn't saying anything about using it for the weather, and I would agree with you about the fact that a vest isn't needed in SC for the temp much. On the other hand, I normally use one if I'm hunting in a swamp, ice or near barbed wire fences as I've seen labs cut their chests wide open in all those situations, and a vest would've helped.
