Thread: Venison Chili

    3 lbs. venison
    2 lbs. sausage
    2 chopped onions
    3 1-qt. cans whole tomatoes
    3 cans medium-size kidney beans
    ~ chili powder, salt, pepper

    Grind the venison and the sausage together. Fry with onions. Drain grease. Add tomatoes, breaking up as you add to skillet. Add beans, Add chili powder, salt and pepper to taste. Simmer and serve.

    that sounds good, may give it a try, but i usually juust follow directions on the back of a can of bush's chilli beans.

    I have never shot a sausage, But don't they come already ground? Can't I just mix a grounded deer with the sausage?
    It's not enough to simply tolerate the 2nd Amendment as an antiquated inconvenience. Caring for the 2nd Amendment means fighting to restore long lost rights.

    RA, is that just regular sausage, or is it venison sausage/ground venison??
