Default Pond leak around drain pipe

All advise would be a help without digging the whole dike out. Fix it and your turkey season will be a good one!!!!

My BIL had a 50 acre pond that was full of 5lb+ bass, 10 acres of flooded timber on one end for duck hunting and a nice dock. It started leaking around drain pipe and they let it ride. Went down there one day and the levee had caved in and the entire pond was gone. Now they have a nice dock that is 10' in the air, no more flooded timber......just a small creek running through it.
I take an PLB in the shower with me. Can't ever be too safe.

    Need more info.

I'm thinking fro is likely correct.

Are you saying there is flow coming through the dam and "leaking" out around the outlet pipe?

How large is the pipe? Material of pipe?

Probably need to get the excavator out...

If you have some type of flashboard outlet, then sawdust (sodium benoite is better) may help you out, but that does not sound like the case.

A cheaper solution may be to close off the outlet pipe, and dig an earthern weir for the spillway.
