A GC Sherrif's son was coming in from hunting outside the jetties and saw a boat turning circles in the inlet. Pulled up to it and found that the 2 guys had obviously hit the sandbar and were ejected. Both were face down, 1 deceased and other hyperthermic. Fellows were in their 50's.

This is what I hear-- One person died in a boating accident near the jetties in Murrells Inlet Saturday evening, authorities confirmed.
At about 5 p.m., Georgetown County Sheriff's Beach Patrol and deputies responded to a report of two boaters whose vessel capsized and needed assistance, an official with the sheriff's office stated in a news release.
Three Coastal Carolina University students who were fishing in the area, and three local duck hunters notified law enforcement and provided aide to the boaters.
"The Georgetown County Sheriff's Beach Patrol and Deputies, Garden City/Murrells Inlet Fire & Rescue, and the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources responded to the southern point of the Garden City Community in Georgetown County to assist the victims," the release states.

A Myrtle Beach man died and another is hospitalized after a boating accident in the area of Murrells Inlet and Garden City Saturday.
Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Carrie Cuthbertson said the beach patrol unit responded to the report of a boating accident near the jetties in Murrells Inlet at about 5 p.m. They were told two boaters whose vessel capsized needed assistance.
Cuthbertson said three Coastal Carolina University students who were fishing in the area and three local duck hunters notified law enforcement and provided assistance to the boaters.
The South Carolina Department of Natural Resources also responded to the southern point of Garden City to assist the victims.
County Deputy Coroner Sam Hodge said 49-year-old Michael S. Arakas of Myrtle Beach died in the water.
The second man from the boat was rushed to Waccamaw Community Hospital. His condition is unknown.
Captain Rodney Jewett of Murrells Inlet-Garden City Fire Rescue said both men were wearing camouflage clothing. He said his agency was about to launch a boat when they received word both men were onshore.
