It's either what he said or the throttle body itself. It could possibly be a couple other things but that sensor and the throttle body are the most common.

It was some other sensor on mine then, I don't remember which one. That throttle body didn't fix it and neither did the Accelerator pedal sensor or whatever the name for it is.

A mechanic told me to clean the throttle body really good and see if that fixes it. It's still under powertrain warranty, so I may just take it to a dealer and let them fix it.

    Default Update

Roller Lifter bearing seized, beat the ever living fuck out of the cam shaft. New shawt block will be in today. Should be put back together by Friday. Ram/Mopar rep is coming to review the swap friday, and take old parts to R & D. I will say this, Ram is taking it to heart. They say they have seen this failure a few times, but it seemed to be a part(s) issue - the needle bearings in the roller lifter disintegrated. I will let them handle it.

Questions for maybe one in said truck bidness? Should I pull that fucker over there on the lot and trade it? Will the motor swap kill my resale? They acknowledge 100K warranty on all parts and service, so I am not worried about warranty, I am worried about getting hosed on it when I do get rid of it.

    Any valid thoughts are appreciated.

You'd be a fool to trade it. Motor swap will not kill resale. You are fixing to get 100k added to the current mileage for a powertrain (engine only) warranty.

    Drive that bitch

That was my plan, and then you got those other 50k people who think their opinion matters. I plan on driving it till the wheels fall off.

I am starting to think I am hard on shit.

The fucking chevy people were in the motor of my 08 LTZ by 10k.....and 15k, and 25k, and at 70K it lost the oil injectors in the motor.

I dont think a 1/2 ton truck is made for men any more, I think they are made for wimins with soccer practice.
