    Hooded Mergansers.
    Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.

    I would think.

    I don't know much about the nesting habits of goldeneyes but I always thought they were ground nesters in the Boreal Forest.

    Mergs nest in tree cavities/boxes as far south as SC's lowcountry.
    Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.
