Default Let's Go Burn Ole Nashville Down

This is how I feel about today's country music.

Lyric: "Country music is killing itself tryin' to be what it ain't"

    And....

Hank Williams III - Dick In Dixie

Elizabeth Cook has her own show on XM radio "Outlaw Country". She is awesome on the air.

edit: and corey smith has no place in this thread...

yeah, elizabeth cook is great on the radio. only thing missing is the sights...

there's a lot of good real country out there, a lot of it happens to be in texas. "dirt road country" c-hawk showed me these guys. hell of a sad song, but pretty good.

one of my favorites, lyric wise

Cool. Do you know what channel off the top of your head?

My XM seldom leaves Chan 125 Patriot radio channel. I'm not a big music fan so I pretty much keep it on the Patriot.

I was reading a discussion on this same topic at another forum and someone posted that Drive By Truckers were good country. I haven't checked them out.

Wasn't one of their band members a member here at SCDucks a while back? Seems like I remember that.

I wasn't saying that Corey Smith was country at all, but if you listen to the lyrics in the song it fits the previous posts in this thread perfectly.
