Layout hunted this morning. Didn't fire the gun! Only saw 4 ducks total all morning. We had one pair of Mallets work right at shooting time. I called off the shot to let them pass 1 more time. They circled right over the deeks and back around behind our setup only to disappear and not give us another look. Dunn been "should" on!
Well I didn't stop there! I came home got dressed went to work for the rest of the morning and afternoon. Then met a buddy to do some jump shooting on a few farm ponds. His pond was holding 8 Mallards yesterday evening when I glassed it. Today only had 2 geese. Fortunatly for the geese they will live to see another day. Left there went to another pond and ended up with 3 Woodies b/t the two of us. I could of limited out but passed on several.
