    My first duck of the season was a federal banded drake mallard. That was a good way to start the season off.

    Need some pics man!! Congrats. Was it the force or the schwartz?
    Delta in a nutshell:Breeding grounds+small wetlands+big blocks of grass cover+predator removal+nesting structures+enough money to do the job= plenty of ducks to keep everyone smiling!

    That's a great way to start the season!!!

    I got the info back from the band. He was banded at the Santee wildlife refuge in February of this year. Either he left and migrated up and then came back or he just never left. I like to think that he migrated and then came back just to make me feel good. It don't matter to me if he was banded the day before I shot him. It was a federal band and they aer kindof hard to come by around here anymore.
