shot twice, killed a black duck. the only duck to decoy. Had the limit on ants and mosquitos before shooting time. the mosquitos were thicker than the ducks. had a few wood ducks do a flyby or two, but everyone else we talked to said they didnt pull the trigger or killed one or two woodies. maybe they are starting to show up after this weather change.

    Least you killed a black.
    Have the teal left?
Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.

teal, from what the warden told me, havent shown up yet, partly because a nearby plantation had some flooded corn and until that was eaten, they probably wouldnt cross the river. I didnt hear of anyone seeing any teal this year. Two years ago that is all we killed.

Had a few buds out there Saturday. Took them 4 years to get drawn and they shot 1 merganser between the four of 'em. Feel horrible for these guys. Lots of anticipation that goes into a draw hunt.
