    Default Chufa Pro's out there....?

    So,

I have strictly followed the instruction, more than adequate fertilizer, chufa came up well as did the weeds....

So sprayed 2, 4-D amine and Poast about 6-8 days ago. I calculated how much, re-calibrated my sprayer and got another set of eyes to do the same. I am almost certain that we sprayed as the directions said.

The weeds are done and on the dirt. With that being said, I have no experience spraying chufa. It has browned on the top (the chufa) pretty significantly on the top quarters of the plant......

After all the time, energy and electric fence....Should I expect it to be browned out? Will it come back?

    Thanks in advance.

Ours is showing some signs of the tips browing too. It's probably just the heat.

Turkeys are already in ours every evening.

I think 2-4DB is the better broad leaf control in chufa.

Will it just "ding it up" or kill it? I let them get up pretty high 8-10 inches before spraying hope this help them a little if 2, 4-D Amine was incorrect........

Pull up a plant and check to see if it has produced any nuts. If so, it does not matter if top is dead.

2,4-D will burn nutsedge a bit, but it won't kill it. Chufa is a nutsedge.

It takes a lot to kill chufa. Round up has a hard time knocking it down. There are plenty of farmers around who would give you all you could dig.
