Appreciate it but I think I am going to be quite happy with the Meopta.

Dang it, mine is STILL sitting in my safe. I'm going to mount it on my Remington 700 Mil Spec as soon as I get the stock dipped by Tom (Digital Woodland... oorah) and the metal Duracoated (ultraflat Tactical OD Green).

Only thing left I have to buy is rings. Going with either Badger or Warren (probably Badger), but I need to figure what height I need. Gonna use the "stack of business cards" trick.

I can tell you with a talley 20 moa rail I had plenty of room with .885 nf lows. With the zero cant base it still had 40+ moa of travel on my 20" 5r.

I have a 20 MOA rail to mount it on. I was looking at the Badger DMR rings. They are a shade over 1 inch (like, 1.031"). I want to ensure clearance when I put a Butler Creek cap on the objective.

How much does clearance matter? I would think the closer to the barrel the better short of contact.

Yes, lower gives better cheek weld. Just need room for caps/cover.

56mm scopes are tough to get low.
