We were getting whipped by the wind and sat down in the woods were I had seen a large gobbler last week. We called and had no luck and decided to move to a less windy location. Just as we got up to head to the truck my partner saw a bird around the bend. We sat down and set up a hen decoy and split up. George went away from the birds so he could lightly call to them as I belly crawled up the woodline. I could see big boy fanning as the hen with him tried to lure hm away. George called perfectly and reassured him with some light purring as he gradually eased down our way. The wind allowed me to continue to slip toward him as he continued to strut. I got into position and he walked on by and had a free lunch of Supreme 5's to the head. He weighed in @ 20 lbs, 11 in beard, 1 1/8 spur. this was an awesome hunt that couldn't have been pulled off w/o 2 hunters. It was truly a day to remember.
