    I believe it came from a study in the '70s (Bevill 1975). A lower coastal plains study found a similar pattern of gobbling and incubation activity, shifted about a week earlier. My own anecdotal experience tells me this is all just about right.

    Good post.I believe Mr. Ruth said that the study was done on unhunted property. It might be slightly different in regard to pressured birds.
