    Default Millineum Lock Ons

Got the idea to buy 4 or more sets of 20' sticks and place them around my hunting areas, then buy a millineum lock on and extra brackets.

Anybody tried this? Can it be done quietly or is it a pain in the ass and noisy to take down and put up the lock on each time you hunt?

They CAN be set up quietly. Your plan has merit. I love my Millenium stand.

Good idea, but it will be a pain in the rear end moving the stand anytime you want to switch.

I have two and do this. I wouldn't want to move them every sit though.

That was my plan as well, got two brackets, one stand and one set of sticks. havent gotten to the rest yet, but havent brought the whole thing to fruition. the brackets are the hardest part to get on, but after that its not difficult. you can tie your own static lines for each ladder. You will love the stand.

They came out with two new lock on models this year. The cost will be closer to that of Big Game stands. One even has adjustments to allow you to set it on an angled tree and stay comfortable.

This is my method. I have multiple brackets and 20' sticks. A new stand site costs me $55 (20 for the bracket, 35 for the stick, I use Sportsman's Guide).

It is very easy and fairly quiet too once you get the hang of it. The stand weighs 15 lbs so it is lighter and I think more comfortable than a climber, I think it is also quieter to setup/take down. Just takes a little technique on how you carry it up the tree and transition.

I would recommend two rubber coated eye bolts, one at 'bracket level' to hook your carabiner on your safety harness as you setup/take down the stand and then another to hook into while you hunt - its really fast and simple.

I almost never leave my stand in the woods.

Millenium stands are like a sore pecker. You just can't beat 'em.
