    Default Outboard Help

I have a Yamaha 150 carbed 2 stroke. Was idling in to the dock Saturday when it just cut off. Went back there and saw a little oil sheen on the water by motor and it would not start back up. Trimmed motor down when I got back home in the driveway and about 2 cups of oil and water poured out of my prop. I turned it over and had a fair amount of oil blow out the exhaust (Lots of white smoke) and oil sprayed out between propoller and skeg. Thoughts? I have heard my oil pump is bad or that I may have lost a coil. Wanted to get some feedback before I call my mechanic tomorrow.

clean/rebuild the carbs. oil pumps rarely go out. sounds like you flooded the motor and got alot of blowback under the cowl and it collected down in the pan then ran down the side of the midsection onto the water.
