    Default Vet in Columbia

I just recently got a lab pup and it is time for his first vet check up. I've been recommended to go to Shandon-Wood Animal clinic by a friend. I'm on a budget, being fresh out of school, so my question is should I be looking at a different vet around the Cola area or is this where I want to go. Thanks guys.

I would exclude my veterinary medicine from the budget category and find a good vet, not a cheap vet.

Hit up the Vet over near Zoe's on Forest drive caddy-corner from trenholm plaza. She is behind the big TD-Bank. Used to be with Shandon wood and is a great Vet. Thats where I take mine, Reasonable rates also

If you do go to Shandon-Wood, ask for Dr. Rasor. She has taken care of my lab impeccably for 9 years.

2nd Four Paws Animal Clinic off Forest Dr. behind Zoes. Used to be with Shandonwood and started their own clinic.

Shandon Wood is probably the most expensive vet in the continental United States.....I know, I went there for five years because I liked my Doctor.

However, I recently switched because of price and now go to Four Paws.....they are awesome and literally less than half the price........I can't justify Shandon Wood and am friends with two of the Dr's.

thanks guys. chessbay, knowing my friend the way i do and the location of the business, that's kind of what i figured. i'm certainly aware that you don't need to skimp on animal care, but if i can save a little money then i'm going to go that route. four paws may be the ticket.

Used to go there, GREAT people and known Dr. Marlow for a long time. Ending up spending a fortune there though.

Last vet visit I drove to Spartanburg.

My lab was cut at the cat clinic about ten years back. My sister was working there, and they wanted some practice on a dog.
