Sauce is easy. The longer you cook it the better. Find canned tomatoes either diced or smashed.
Start out sweating some garlic and onions.
Add meat and cook through. Drain if you have a lot of fat.
Then add tomatoes canned or fresh, basil, oregano, some salt and pepper.
Throw meat back in the pot.
Let it all simmer on the stove.
Add tomato paste if its watery.
Get crazy with the meat by adding pork, beef, or venison. Chop up some bacon for a saltier flavor that replaced cheese for me.
Mine is similar. Nothing fancy.
Can of sauce.
3-4 diced maters if fresh. I'll take canned diced over a hot house mater though.
Minced garlic
S/P (non iodized sea salt out of the grinder)
basil
Oregeno
touch of red pepper
shot of honey
I start it first and let it cook for a while. Bay leaf in there if you want.
