Special thanks to the Buckmasters Midlands Chapter Committee Members who put on a hell of a shin dig at Millaree Hunt Club last Thursday evening. The proceeds earned from this event will help implement the Project Vension Program in the Midlands Area. The program works like this.....

    How the Program Works:
    1. Buckmasters Chapters raise funds to pay the processing fee.
    2. Hunters drop off properly field dressed deer to participating processors (see next post)
    3. Hunter can agree to pay for the processing fee (as a tax deductible donation) or elect that the Buckmasters Midlands Chapter pays the processing fee.
    4. Harvest Hope food bank picks up the meat and provides a receipt for payment and distributes ground venison to the need in our local community.
    5. Processors guarantee quality control of the venison.
    6. The hunter makes a difference in his local community by giving to the needy.

THE FOLLOWING ARE THE PARTICIPATING PROCESSORS FOR THIS SEASON. WE WILL BE SEEKIG TO ADD ADDITIONAL PROCESSORS NEXT YEAR......

Can you drop the deer off with the husk on at any of these joints?

Bobby aint strange, just different than you.

They dont get much better. I would still give him $10 to skin your deer if its for donation. Lets not take advantage of these people. Dont be that cheap.

Fellow Hunters..... We are trying to get the money filtered through the 501 C 3 non profit account as well as get some paper work finished so we can hopefully start taking some deer to these processors. Thanks for being patient. Next year our goal is to have some of these monies available in August or September so we can do this throughout the season. We just got started a little Late. Also, there has been a lot of interest for starting this program in other areas. If you want to do this type of program contact me and we can get a chapter started in your area and plan on having a fund raiser early next fall. These Buckmasters Chapters are growing. Our Midlands Chapter looks as if it is going to be able to keep 45% - 55% of the monies raised here in the local area. Very genrous sharing scale the BADF offers its chapters.

Where is the 601 processing place located exactly? If I can finally see something to shoot that would be a good place for me to take it.

601 heading North from the river (Calhoun Co) go until you see the sign on the right. About 1/2 way to St. Matthews.
