Got checked at 2am this summer flounder gigging. Right off the rip the guy was trying to be a dick telling me my story about what fish we had wasn’t lining up. I told him to look in the cooler and see for himself. They searched the cooler, boat, safety gear, licenses, everything. Made me get out my registration to prove my boat was only 15ft and didn’t need a throwable. I left with no tickets cause I hadn’t done anything wrong. Just don’t appreciate the attitude.

That being said I've also been checked at the same landing after deep holing where they just asked to look at the cooler and said have a nice day. Highly dependent on the officer, but overall they aren’t my favorite.
