I got a call Friday afternoon at work that I didn't want. My dad was cutting a neighbor's grass and fell dead of what the coroner said was a heart attack. Since he retired about 10 years ago, he's been constantly doing stuff around the neighborhood to help people out. Most of the people in the neighborhood called him dad,, or "pops." I got to see him, and he looked the most peaceful I've ever seen him. My mom has dementia, so she doesn't really know what's going on (which is a weird relief), and my sister is having a rough time but her fiance is a great guy and is helping her. I'm not asking for anything, I know he's in a better place, but I don't do any kind of social media, and consider yall my friends, so I figured this was as good a place as any to pay tribute to a great man. Thanks.
