Field full of millet proso and sorghum
I have a 9 acre field full of seed. Most of millet has fallen over due to wind. . I did not get it planted till July 4th. I have cut strips with the bushhog probably 30 ft wide. The field is a long rectangle with pine trees surrounding it. Plenty of doves in the area with about 200 across the rd in the pines in our quail preserve.
My question is this, how would you manipulate the field. None of the doves are using the field. I have checked it at all times of the day. I think clean ground is the issue. How would you achieve that objective. To hard to disc and to much vegetation. Would you burn it?
