    Burn of the day.

A proper ODK has 3 cooking appliances. A griddle, a charcoal grill and a smoker/PG. if you want a pellet grill and are a buy once, cry once guy, RecTeq is your answer.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

It instantly boils off any residue left on it. I take a paper towel and clean it off and repeat the process two or three times.

After I am satisfied it is clean, I turn the burner off and squirt some oil, grease or whatever you might like to use and re-coat it. I have a metal cover that stays on it when not in use and mine still looks brand new after 1.5 years of cooking on it often.

Whole process takes less than five minutes.

If the grates are your problem, but like the grill try these
    https://www.grillgrate.com/shop-by-brand/kitchenaid/
Put them in a Nextgrill and they work great. Hold up better than SS grates that came in it. You can flip them over and use like fish/ vegetable grill plate.

You need a traditional grill and a Traeger
The Traeger is the tits for butts and brisket and sometimes things like pans of baked beans,
    whole chicken, whole turkey etc,

I don’t think you will be happy with a pellet grill if it’s the only grill you have.
    Spot on.

Recteq is what you want, and I’ll put my ribeye on it against any I can cook on charcoal. Low smoke for 45 mins or so and finish on cast iron is the titttttays. Cook burgers on 225 for about the same and I think they’re better than any other method. Camp chef and traegers are not nearly as good as the recteq in my experience. I have a pdq, Webber, and old Tymer and haven’t bought charcoal in probably 4 years.

That YOU can cook on charcoal. Just means YOU can’t cook on charcoal. I’m not cooking a steak for 45 min-and then searing it. WTF? There is a reason the best steakhouses in the world use high heat broiler or chargrills.
20 mins I’m eating while your still waiting on yours to heat up.

    And F*** a ribeye.

With HS I am 45 yrs old and I have eaten 1 fillet in my life, Ribeye is the best cut period. If I see a man cutting fat off a Steak, he is dead to me. 2 mins over flaming coals on each side spg and a spritzing of allegro.

I would tell the OP to ignore this guy but he already said he didn’t eat steaks so they should probably get along well.

A man that doesn’t eat a ribeye cannot be trusted. Of course I’ll eat about any cut of beef.

Agreed. I’ll eat a filet but I’ve never bought one. The ROI alone isn’t there.

The only time I’ll reverse sear a ribeye is when they’re over 1.5-2lbs. While I’m on the slow cooking portion, it’s a good excuse for sipping bourbon and toking a stogie.
