My wife is tired of using her charcoal grill and wont use the gas grill.
She wants a smoker grill for brisket and pork but we don't have a clue.
Any advice on what to get or not get?

Missing you my great friend.
Get a Recteq……not made out of cheap material and customer service is great.

Those Recteqs look solid..buy once, cry once I reckon.
At least I'm housebroken.
2nd the rec teq
Recteq. I put 2 butts on last night at 10. Got up at 6 this morning and wrapped them. Took them off around 10:30. Can’t get much easier than that.
Which Recteq model?

Pitboss does well and can be a smoker or a direct flame. Fairly durable.
I have watched two different recteq’s go up in flames, I have a Traeger and I clean it every bag of chips, it works every time I cut it on.

Treager. If you don't clean them they will burn. Had one for 10 yrs. If you do it for a living get a pull behind that can use gas or wood
Recteq Pitboss 1200.
Treagar sucks and their customer service is terrible. Lose a control panel and it’s $400.00. The BT function doesn’t work, they use 2X more pellets and it’s a constant fight to keep it on track.
Put a butt on last night it was as good as any I’ve had. Always struggled with brisket until now, all of them have been great. Leg quarters, set and forget. Put the probes in, watch them temps on the phone, wrap, pull, reset temp etc. it doesn’t grill a steak or fish or chops like my Primo but I don’t use it for that either.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

I’ve got a BGE at my house, a PitBoss at duck camp. Pretty sure the PB bit the dust during youth day, I’ll probably go with a BGE out there.
Pellet grills are nice for the convenience and plug and play, but BGE is simple and holds better temps.
