I would try plot saver before i built any more fencing . Weve got 7 strands of electric fence , plus on the back side where most of the deer come from , weve got 3 more strands about 2 feet outside of the main fence line . and the bastards still get in there from time to time and go to work on the sunflowers . Tried plotsaver ribbon last year , and didnt lose any ....first time in a long time weve been able to get a full crop of sunflowers . This stuff works . Also tried it at one of the duck holes around the corn....the corn outside the ribbon got devoured and the corn inside the ribbon didnt get touched .
If it aint got 8 toes & a green head,it aint a duck.

I have talked with 5 friends with 5 different fields in Spartanburg and York counties and everyone has a BAD field. The sunflowers don't look good. Sparse germination and generally look like crap.
2 WMA fields look bad too.
You would not happen to be a brick salesman would you ??? My buddy was telling me his brick salesman was seeing same results and was in your area
