Default Innovative Arms Integrally Suppressed .22

Innovative Arms did a kickass job on this barrel! I own 6 other rimfire cans, and have shot well over a dozen more, and I must say - this is definitely the quietest weapon I have ever fired.

If anyone wants a kick-ass setup, this is the way. Mine is 13.5 OAL (SBR) but he can do full-size, too.

    Any particular ammo you're shooting?

    It won't cycle subs.

All I've shot through it so far is CCI standard velocity.

The way a SD barrel works, is it has gas vents that bleed off pressure and slow the round down so it won't reach supersonic speeds.

However, the actual rifled barrel is pretty dang short, so the CCI wouldn't reach supersonic speeds at that distance, anyways.

I'm pretty sure I could still run hotter ammo and have it bleed-off down to subsonic speeds.

    It's stupid quiet.

Lube and patience seems to be the best trick with these. I also usually taper the ends.

The rifle is actually a TacSol and has Delerin buffer pin. It also uses a different bolt with two recoil springs.

I tried the single shot gizmo on my 10/22 with integral barrel. The noticeable difference was so slight that I removed it.

The actual barrel in my Gemtech is around 10", ported, will shoot high velocity rounds supersonic. Some brands are right at the threshold so every third or fourth might crack and the others stay quiet. My go to is CCI standard velocity. They are consistently subsonic.

Looks like it is about $1k if you supply your own rifle.

Obviously, bolt guns are stupid quiet. This is damn close...

You need to shoot it into water. It will surprise you how loud the plop a subsonic 22 makes when it hits water. It's really useful for running geese and cormorants off the pond.

I have a scope with big exposed turret knobs and a graduated reticle because you need a lot of elevation adjustment for even short distance shooting.

Do you have a magazine loader for 10/22 mags? I have one that works OK but figure you've done more research on them.

I've got a creek and have shot into it plenty. I shoot steel most of the time.

As far as a loader goes, I don't have one. I do for my AR22, but I've never come across a 10/22 loader that got rave reviews.

I'll need to try mine at a few different distances to see if mine drops off that quickly. I most use CCI standard velocity, so hopefully they don't drop too soon.

The Butler Creek is OK...better than doing it by hand. It won't let you just crank the knob without stopping and backing up a tad, sort of like a gumball machine.

I'll have to take a look at them.

I've got an old 50-round Ram-Line that sucks to load.

I shot a couple doe with subsonic 300BO last year less than 50 yards. Sounded like someone hit them with a shovel when the bullet hit. Weirdest thing.

Yeah, subs on meat sound pretty neat.

I've just popped squirrels, but they sound cool, too.

    220gr hits differently than 36gr, I'm sure!

(I've always used the analogy of hitting a cow with a baseball bat, but shovel is probably more accurate.)
