Used to go every year from the mid 2000's to a couple of years ago. Best flats fishing in the world. Jardines de la Reina is the real deal. We used a Canadien Travel agent back in the day to avoid Clinton's state Dept knowing . Got tix to Havana from Cancun. The Cuban customs would alway pretend to stamp our passports so that we would not have problems coming back home.
Tarpon, permit, bones and all flavor of snapper/grouper are only a cast away with a buggy whip. Key west has bigger Tarpon... 80-100 pounds is a big one in Cuba, but they are very plentiful and will inhale a black fly.

We'd take a flats boat and go grab lobster mid day. I have a pic somewhere of the bottom of the boat covered. Ate them until you didn't want to look at them.

Idk seems like a lot of irons in the fire. Ukraine, Iran, and now Cuba. Not going to say I don’t care about Cubans but I care about Americans first. Don’t really care what they want. I have a hard time believing if the secret service keeps letting the president get shot at that we are that good at our job ,fbi,border patrol, and counterterrorism units at stopping a terrror attack in this country. I hope we are.
