Russ point Landing Hunting Island

I know Russ Point was closed repaired and re opened in 2024 and we used it last year while staying at Harbor Island

Someone was telling me that is closed again ?? Not sure if he was talking about the 2024 shut down or if it actually closed again.

Figured someone on here would know

Also. is there any fee for using it ? Did not see any signs posted there last year but it was mentioned you were supposed to check in at Hunting Island to use it ?

IF it is closed what would be nearest ramp to use while at HI

haven't been there since last summer, but it was up and running then. there has never been a fee for using and never had to check in with hunting island as far as i know.

backup landing could be butch's landing near gay fish co. butch's is tough to use at low tide or with a bigger boat. if bigger boat, recommend going to eddings point landing near frogmore

Really liked Russ's , short run any where to fish . Saw the Butch's but wasn't to sure about low tide for my boat , 22' Ranger bay boat
