This “consensus” of this place is the equivalent of poling a mental asylum after they’ve all been injected with LSD.

Or is it a look into the average voter who makes decisions based on the candidates public appearances?

I heard Rom on the radio a while back & had never seen him. I thought he was a cross between a South African & Scottish old man based off his accent. I did enjoy some of his takes on limited .gov. He is intriguing, but has the charisma of sea wall. I never heard any inflection in his voice, or enthusiasm. Clearly he is motivated, but that will not win an election. I then looked him up & thought there is no way this is the same guy I heard.

Unfortunately Fish, many people do vote based of of appearance. He doesn't exactly exude leadership in the appearance department. I do not think he has a chance, but maybe he can swing some of the debate to issues that are important.

I'm boggled as to how Mace is even sorta got a chance, but apparently she turns some of SC voters on!
    Yup, he's crazy...

Sounds like you’re talking about statesmanship.

Remember when Mitt Romney was statesmanlike? Yeah. I do too.

Ready is trying to make a point. And that’s okay. Someone mentioned in another thread that they thought he was a libertarian. He is not.

Does anyone know if AIPAC is actively lobbying our state legislature?

Looks like we have 5 or 6 candidates. Several claim to be anti-establishment. That depends on your definition. See below.

Candidate Current/Most Recent Role Years in Government
Alan Wilson SC Attorney General 15 years (Since 2011)
    Ralph Norman U.S. Representative (SC-5) ~19 years (State House 2005–2006, 2009–2017; U.S. House 2017–Present)
    Nancy Mace U.S. Representative (SC-1) ~9 years (State House 2018–2020; U.S. House 2021–Present)
Pamela Evette Lt. Governor of SC 7 years (Since 2019)
Josh Kimbrell SC State Senator 6 years (Since 2020)
Rom Reddy Businessman 0 years (Private sector background)
Either write things worth reading, or do things worth writing.

I remember when Romney showed up in starched jeans trying to fit in with a bunch of good ole boys from SC and he failed miserably.

He would have been better off to stay in a suit.
He was trying just as hard to pander as Al Gore or Hildabeast at a black church first off going inside a church next changing their accent to sound as if they were from the south and black themselves.

Reminded me of the Revvverend Jessie Jackson.
I’m still not sure what he or Al Sharpton were Reverends of.

I’m fairly sure Hildabeast was getting uneasy as her regular church more than likely is the church of Moloch.
Gore worships at the church of green religion

Romney should have just stayed in his lane.

Yep, someone thought it would be a good idea to have an arrogant rich white woman give commencement speech at SCSTU , went over like a turd in a punch bowl . It has become very ugly

Regardless of my personal thoughts on Administration and Board of Trustees at SCSTU those kids graduating deserve and commencement speech that is not controversial .

She was not very good in the most recent debate. She did not exude much confidence.

Wilson was backed by 20% of respondents in the Starboard poll, putting him ahead of fifth district congressman congressman Ralph Norman (14%), first district congresswoman Nancy Mace (13%), lieutenant governor Pamela Evette (12%), Lowcountry multimillionaire Rom Reddy (10%) and embattled state senator Josh Kimbrell (3%).

What I have seen all she basically is trying to do is ride on coattails of DJT , this day and age that is not exactly a good basis for political campaign if yo ask me

She has no plans that I have seen that are specific to SC and lets face it , if we gonna have a female Governor we rather look at Nancy Mace . Seems kind off her rocker at times but does appear to have a set. of balls.

Looks like Wilson probably wins at this point , idk

Luckily, with that bunch, the governor’s office is a toothless position.
