    Default Youth dove hunts

Has anyone hunted one of the DNR youth fields (particularly Botany Bay)?

Is it worth going or the same public field cluster but now with kids present? Don’t need or expect a burner shoot just would like it to be safe and not a hectic experience.

Botany does a pretty good job. They will have birds. There will be a load of people. Some with a toddler so daddy can shoot. They don't police it like they should. Get there early.

Field looks pretty good this year. Flower wise.

Never hunted it so can’t speak on that aspect.

We did the one in Eutawville years ago. If you can check it out before do. When they opened the gate kids ran to the good spots.

Delta in a nutshell: Breeding grounds + small wetlands + big blocks of grass cover + predator removal + nesting structures + enough money to do the job= plenty of ducks to keep everyone smiling!
