    Default Matthews V3X 33 vs Lift 33

Contemplating back and forth on which one I am going to go with. I've held both but have not really noticed much difference between the two other than the lift having the bridge lock system. Am I missing any major differences? Looking for some of yalls opinions. Obviously the V3X will more than likely be gently used if i go that route but also have the option to buy a lift new. Ive bow hunted for the majority of my younger years but really looking to build one from the ground up this time. Just wanting a solid platform to start. Thanks, Coleman

Both are great bows, from my understand the Lift is having issue with limbs failing and Mathews has extended the warrenty to replace limbs even for second hand buyers.
No matter if it’s pistols, pussies, pistons or pocket knives, it needs lubrication!

I have a V3X that has a 31" draw. Its pretty much ready to go. Very lightly used. I might be listing it on the TP soon.

I believe the V3X has the bridge lock for the sight, but not the stabilizer.

Both are nice bows. The lift will be a little easier to fine tune with the top hat system.

I could possibly be interested. I'm a 29" but mods are easy to come by. Id prefer a bare bow unless you have furniture that I like. Shoot me a message at (843) 259-3611 if you end up listing it.

    I have a VXR 31.5 which feels about the same as a V3X, and a Lift 29.5.

My VXR is smoother and is more dead in the hand after the shot, but it is slower, louder and heavier.
My Lift has a stiffer draw cycle and jumps forward more at the shot, but it is faster, quieter and lighter.

Both were equally easy to tune. I would shoot both and see which feels better to you.

Love my LIFT 33. There has been some limb issues but I’ve shot the shit out of mine with no issues. Best bet is to shoot both. Feel and confidence goes a long ways

Shoot both if you can. I like the lift more than the v3x. I think the lift has better balance, but that is personal preference. Grip and strings are crap on both. The lift X is a better buy just for the tuning feature, or you can have B-Stick on here tune it for you.. Definitely money well spent. I’d rather have a tuned K-Mart bow than a new Mathew’s that’s out of tune.

Ah where to start on my Lift...

I am on my 3rd set of limbs. First set split, second set had deflection issues, and now this set has been flawless. I honestly am not sure how many Mathews I have hanging up but the bows I grab the most are my Lift 29.5 and my V3 31.

Toss some quality strings and cables on either one and you will be set. The 33 is definitely easier to tune and a bit more forgiving than the 29.5. If the price is right on the Lift, I wouldn't hesitate. If you are buying new, the Lift X is a solid choice with the new tuning feature as mentioned above.

If any questions, feel free to reach out.

I have a V3X at 29” as well I can part with if it doesn’t work out with OBD. Can’t shoot until I get my rotator cuff healed up.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Who are you using for strings/cables these days? I’ve used Vapor Trail for the last 10 years but haven’t really looked at any others.

You definitely can’t go wrong with some of the big names. GAS, Vapor Trail, Americas Best, etc etc.

I am a dealer for Bad 2 The Bone bowstrings. I’m the only dealer in SC. You can also order directly from him. His stuff has been great. Over 5-600 shots I’ve had to put a 1/2 twist in one cable. Serving has been holding up very well also.

Yeah, but how about a string with someone with man sized arms and not alligator arms??
