Times can be tough swift strike. Hopefully, you can get a decent rifle range to shoot at.

Had this fella in the stand with me. I'd just sat down and started eating a sandwich and noticed him. It got my heart beating. He was coiled under the shooting rail and was between the door and me. I stood on the chair in case he hit the floor. I wanted some height/distance between him and me. I finished my sandwich and poked him with the cleaning rod of my muzzle loader to try to get him to leave. He didn't like that and struck and hissed at me. I sprayed him with some aerosol tink's 69 I had in my pack. He liked that less and struck again. I sprayed him with some more and he started to move. I flipped him over the shooting rail with the cleaning rod. I sat down and hunted. I was hoping the coating of tink's I gave him would leave a good scent trail for a buck to follow. It didn't work.

When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home. -Tecumseh-

After this rain the 90-degree rule might be in effect.

Looks like you plan to tip one over with a rifle and a bow in the stand.

When in doubt, shoot him again!

Work like it's all up to me, but pray, like it's all up to him!
