I've had momma squirrels jump on me like that and it ain't a good feeling. Especially when you hanging onto a limb with one hand and trying to fight her off with the other one while 60' up a pine or oak tree.
Never had one jump me out in the woods when I was stealing their babies. They'll just bluff and fuss at ya. But around town where they're used to people they will eat you up. Lander College campus was the worst. Meanest momma squirrels on earth there.
